The Philosopher's Eye
Detail - ( In the Philosopher's Eye, the detail is vaguely explained as trying to capture the narrative. These photos not only have a lot of detail physically but they tell a native in a way. The first photo could show the detail of a vacation for these kids. The second can show the peace of that lake.)
Ben Strauss (benstraussphotography) - *No Title*, March 3, 2021. He started his journal in photography two years ago and is currently working on a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Frame - (For the frame, the essay discussed how photographers would set up the photo to frame an image and create a story. I decided to choose photos that used the environment around them to make a frame to bring your eye to a specific spot. )
Rob Visser (rob_visser_photography) Overture. March 11, 2021. Rob is from the Netherlands and bought his first DSLR in 2014. He had won a Dutch TV show with his photos and won the Brabant on Beeld, with five sunray shots.
The Thing Itself - (The thing itself is very self-explanatory. In the essay, it tells how photographers needed to learn how to capture everyday life and reality and show how it is artistic.)
Yaroslav Suprun (kertart), *No Title*, March 6, 2021. Yaroslav is a 3D artist and travel photographer.
Time - (In the Philosopher's Eye, it talked about how photographers were hindered by time, because back then you have to wait for the camera lens to take in the light and details before taking the image. That is not as much of a hindrance today. I also chose a photo that tool time as a more conceptual thing. )
Nikolas Lenatti (niko_lenatti), Flew Away, February 10, 2021. Nikolas is from Sondrio, Northern Italy, and his photos all have the same dark theme.
Vantage Point - ( This topic is also self-explanatory. The essay brings up how photographers chose to take pictures available to them. Today, we can get almost any vantage point we want. Thus, I chose photos that would not be possible back then.)
Giulio Grobert (guiliogroebert), Schwarzwald-Black Forest, March 13, 2021. He is a freelance photographer and filmmaker.
Μανώλης Παπαδάκης (manolis_papadakis). Rage, March 13, 2021. He started Photography at the age of fifteen, and he was chosen to photograph projects from 2017-2018 for 3E-Coca Cola.
